We are currently experiencing unusually high load and facing some server issues. We’re looking into the issue and why it is causing this disruption and will update as soon as possible.
The issue has been identified as an accidental DoS by an API user and I’ve taken steps to mitigate things, I’ll be monitoring things through the evening to ensure they go back to normal.
James, when you get round to implementing throttling, consider implementing it so that *:1 navigations to nodes, that just retrieve the id, are cheap. For example, a query for PersonVoteNode.voter.id shouldn’t “charge” for a full PersonNode.
This issue has resurfaced and I’m working to mitigate it again, this time with a full block of the IPs in question, but it is taking some time to recover as our database host is now having issues as a result.
